Shop till you drop

So, I just got home from Karl Edward International Shop @ the Fort. I go every Sunday, do a lot of chit chat, eat every hour or less, buy one or two items but most of the time I stop myself from spending for I need to save big time. However, because there are so many good stuff, sometimes I can't help it just like what happened today. It's almost as good as being in a department store where you can find whatever you need. Clothes, bags, shoes, make-up, food, utensils, plates, stools, toys, pillows, and a lot more. Name it, they have it.

Come visit. It's open every weekend until December. Buy Christmas gifts as early as now to avoid the hassle of Christmas shopping chaos.

See ya!

I am a junkie.. a Zumba junkie!

I’ve been attending Zumba for few months now and I am loving it! Thanks to Brewing Point Dance Studio (www.bpdancestudio.com), I can now eat but be healthy at the same time. For those oblivious of what Zumba is all about, let me quote from the above website.

Are you ready to party yourself into shape? That's exactly what the Zumba program is all about. It's an exhilarating, effective, easy-to-follow, Latin-inspired, calorie-burning dance fitness-party that's moving millions of people toward joy and heath.

Zumba Fitness is the only Latin-inspired dance-fitness program that blends red-hot international music, created by Grammy Award-winning producers, and contagious steps to form a "fitness-party" that is downright addictive.

One Sunday, I heard Madelle (owner of Brewing Point), Donn, and Kristie talking about Zumba. And beacuse I was not familiar with it, I ignored and talk to others instead. Soon after, Madelle went to Florida to have herself certified. And when she had her trial class, Walaahh, I enjoyed it right then and there. And until now, I am having a blast. It’s contagious, my friends are also addicted to it already.

So if you guys would like to get fit and have fun at the same time. Join the party! Join Zumba!

This is mind blowing

Lunch break’s over and I’m set to ignore work (haha) and focus on searching for possible suppliers for my wedding. By the way, Karl my fiancé and I finally set the date and it’s going to happen on December 7, 2012. All I can say is, this is not easy man! I am having headache browsing through websites, opening videographers’ archives, watching videos and yet still can’t decide. For one, I need to fancy their works, especially the Same Day Edit (SDE). Two, I need to consider the budget. It really gets pricey each year. The last time I checked Threelogy about few months ago, which my friend Abie got for her wedding in 2008, its premium package was only 85K and now it’s already 130K. Are you kidding me? But I must admit, they are good, just too much for our budget range, or should I say, just too much, for we haven’t set our wedding budget yet. Moreover, I still need to figure which photographer to get. The only supplier I am eyeing for and adamant to get despite its high-priced rates is K by Cunanan Catering.  I continue to look for other caterer but I am already biased. My mind is still rooting for KbyC. I'm just not sure if Karl agrees. I will also check out one to two venues this Saturday.

Abie gave me a wedding template. I went through it again and it made me so excited to fill each sheet up but at the same time I felt worried because it made me see how complicated wedding preps could be. I am certain, this will be stressful.

Give me tips if you can. :D

Status Changed, I'm engaged

He proposed! Every single detail is still vividly marked in my mind.  It’s one of the happiest and nerve-wracking events in my life. And it was not just a proposal but a comical one. I could not explain how I felt at that moment. It was like my emotions were in chaos combating against each other.  My hands were numb, I was sweating like hell. I cried and laugh at the same time. It was a crazy beautiful scene. Euphoric if I may say.

First he surprised me on my birthday. He went home for a vacation from Abu Dhabi. I was in awe. I had been convincing him to go home but he vehemently denied. We often had several confrontations because of that.  But he came. I was in high spirits. And then a month later he popped the question.

After an overnight stay at Linden suites (thank you to my friend Ethel for giving us a low rate), we had lunch at Bonchon, our new favorite chain. He wanted to do a lot of things that time. He wanted to go to Greenhills, Circle C, and then some. And because of bad headache, I just agreed. I told him we can do all of those, but let me have a massage. We didn’t do any of his plans. Instead, he took me straight to Celebrity Sports for a massage. It was supposed to be just a 1-hr massage, but he secretly told the receptionist to make it an hour and a half. Little did I know that he sneaked out to get ready to propose.

Let me show you a video of how it all happened. Enjoy!

Blogging is lovelier the second time around

That's me now and my fiancé
From being ambiguous of my feelings toward blogging again and how I think I missed it, now it’s a confirmatory sign that I really do because I am actually doing it once again. I’m a li’l anxious, I think I don’t know how to write anymore…but wait I don’t think I have ever been good in doing it, so no worries. I want it and I'll do it anyway. It’s been 2 years since I last did this.  How time really flies. Part of me feels bad for deleting my old blogs but there is nothing I can do about that now. What’s important is I have all the time to start all over again. I did food blogging then.  Anton of Our Awesome Planet inspired me. Reading his blog fascinates me. He’s not only a food blogger but a travel blogger as well which suits me best because I love to eat and I dream to travel the world.  And I love how he features small but delish restaurants and how he shares the beauty of our country.  For those who know me well and those who see me devour (yes like a monster) food, they know that I eat a lot and that I don’t lose my appetite (except for only 2 reasons”:  1. hair in my food 2. rats/mouse. It gives me jitters every time), so I opted that track. I tried going to the restaurants where Anton went, give my opinion about the food and try to differ/compare it from the original. Say Pepper Lunch, if I’m not mistaken, it started from Japan and few years ago before it became a craze here, I tried it there. Same verdict was given to both, a simple “ït’s ok”, there’s nothing to rave about.

So now I’m back to where I spend my spare (lots of it) time, blabbering in the form of writing. But this time, there is not a particular emphasis. Each blog will be emanating from random things about me and my endeavors. Mind those who will take time to lurk, for I am a bit dramatic. I may be letting my emotions spill all over the place. So bear with me. However, most of it will be filled with jovial (sometimes baloney) stories.

Catch me soon..
