Reunited in Hong Kong

I was thrilled when Tita Florian (Karl's mom) invited me to join them on their Hong Kong trip. Right then and there, an idea popped into my mind. It could be a good one.. fingers crossed. Since Karl's planning to come home already, it would be great  if he can take a flight to Hong Kong from Abu Dhabi and surprise his family. Trips with his family is so fun, much more when he's there to join. Karl liked the idea and then we started planning. We looked for inns, hostel he can stay at for a couple of hours since his flight was way earlier than ours, what bus to take from the airport, where to stop and landmarks he must know so that he'll be close to our hotel.  I can't wait to see him again.

The day came, he flew to Hong Kong from Abu Dhabi. 8 am, my mobile rang. It was Karl. He was in the hotel where we're supposed to stay but the front desk officer said that initial booking was done but didn't push through. Poor Karl he has all his luggage, yes 2 big ones and a back pack to carry around. He didn't like the inns/hostels because aside from the uninviting appearance, it's also pricey so he opted to just go to our hotel and get one of the rooms reserved.

It got me so worried. I hastily called Val, Karl's cousin and asked which hotel they booked. True enough, they booked another hotel. When he got to the right hotel, another problem arose. He can't get the room unless one of the guests booked in the room calls for confirmation. This really was a dilemma since we wanted it to be a surprise. I called Marc, his brother and asked for help. But everything got so complicated. So what Karl did was, he got the room anyways and paid a certain amount instead.

11pm

We arrived HK airport. I messaged Karl right away to get ready. Almost 2 hours passed, we reached the hotel. As we got in the lobby, he popped out of nowhere and surprised everyone. It was a nice scene. And we're reunited!

The tour commenced:

 Karl, Val (who took this pic) and I roamed around Nathan Road. It was our first day free time in the morning.

As afternoon set, we all went to Causeway bay to have our lunch. Pig out as usual!

We also went to Peak Tram sans the kids, Madelle and Prince.

The next day, we went to the happiest place on earth. Yay! Maia and Bella were so cute in their fairy costumes!
